91GameCheck and TQAT.exe file

Posted by admin under Uncategorized

Since Patch 5223 an anti bot check has been added (91GameCheck.exe), located in your Conquer 2.0\IsecPlus folder, this anti bot check can do the following:

- Scans process you have running, you can see what you have running your self via the Task Manager.

- Any Virus running in your process can lead you to getting botjailed.

- Having a good Anti virus is the key to a clean computer, there are plenty of decent free ones out there.

- Going to certain sites increase the risk of getting a virus, example is a dodgy porn site.

- Any third party program you are using for Conquer (Proxy, Bot, hacks) can and probably will lead you to botjail.

- Downloading third party programs for Conquer not only increases the risk of you of going to botjail but they can also be harmful to your computer or your account.

Although what TQ are doing is on the “edge” of illegal in some peoples minds, they have a right to scan JUST there game files and any other process that could/do interact with Conquer client, anything beyond this (personal information) is starting to become a legal issue.

TQ can get “away” with scanning the folders and process because that is what you accepted to (EULA/TOS) when you made the account, and you agreed with it, as well as agreeing that the terms are subject to change.
As soon as you log into any of there severs you are agreeing to there TOS/EULA, if you don’t agree, don’t play.

Here are some examples of what people think about it from the Official Conquer Forums:

“I am JasonX from the pyramid server.

today when i logged on on june 8th 2010 i was in the offline tg area and a pop up said that i was receiving a warning for using an illegal program/botting on June 6th 2010. When i left training ground I was sent to bot jail. I know for a fact that this is a lie since when i play conquer its only my googletalk program that i use to speak with my friends and my avg anitirus thats running . I know that nothing is wrong with my conquer installation since i just downloaded a new one from your website. The reason why i downloaded from the website is that they recently put one of my friends SpecialArcher in bot jail for no reason also and she said they didn’t really give a reason except for that a installation file had something wrong with it so she wrongfully had to pay 430 cps. So i checked my antivirus program and guess what? I found out that on June 2nd it detected a trojan horse on my pc named TQAT.exe (possibly means tq anti trojan)and the anti-virus removed it from the conquer installation. The file is illegally monitoring my pc so the avg removed it silently(without any popup warning). So what this means is if you have a good anti-virus you will end up in bot jail”

Here is proof:

“Except they can’t make changes to their TOS then punish you for not conforming to it, without making you “re-agree” to it. Entirely illegal, it’s why companies like Apple, make you agree to their terms whenever you update your version of iTunes, or go to buy something from the Apple Store, and there is a new ToS.”

“90% of the people caught were not botters, they just had a few files quarantined from AVG or AVAST. Of course, you can’t accept the fact that your Tqwea.dll has a huge flaw in it, in that it jails everyone; Not the ones that bot, but rather those who have certain files missing from their Conquer file.

Ya know, I’ve been botting happily along for almost 2 years now and I’ve yet to see the inside of Botjail. Why is that? Because you guys code absolute garbage bot checkers that catch people with quarantined files, instead of people with bots running in their processes list (Even though you still check that. How you haven’t managed to catch “BCO Proxy” on people’s process lists is beyond me. Also how you didn’t manage to botjail the 1000+ people who ran off the same IP in BCO or COFarmer is remarkable).

Your unprofessional facade makes me sit back and laugh at what a corrupt company this is. Making a huge mistake like this, and not admitting to it, but rather to send an arrogant ass like yourself out and make fun of everyone trying to tell you that your bot checkers are jailing the wrong people. “VOlcan0.o?

If there was a pop-up when the client started making you agree to it, its a different matter.

I’m no expert when it comes to law, but I believe thats the case, as for what they are doing, it may still be illegal no matter if they make a ToS, some stipulations in a ToS are null, because of the nature of them, i don’t know whether this would class as an invalid term, someone with law experience may know.”

Apple does it because their updater is their installer and it helps cover their ass a bit more. Imagine if Apple did something that is questionably illegal with their installer. They could easily say we updated our ToS and the person accepted it, and the court case is dropped right there. The only real laws regarding the ToS and updating it is that the user has to notified of the changes and the changes has to be readily available. So tq could get in some trouble because someone didn’t visit their main site for a while, but TQ could easily argue out of it with their lawyers.”

“Yes this program after scanning trying to send information to internet ^^ i checked it.””

“Ive blocked the application via firewall – it cant send or recieve data. No need to delete it. Someone will eventualy come up with a true bypass.”

“For windows 7 users there is a way to rename 2 system files or regedit a key or two to stop the program from sending data.”

“All its going to do is search your process list for flags that it has determined as “capable of yada yada yada…” if it doesnt like it it shuts down the client. No botjailings, no ip bans, its a local closing of the client… (i think lol) Renaming or random generation of the the proxy/edited .exe cant be THAT hard…can it?”
